Custom Art Framer / Framing Specialist (Full time/Part Time)

Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Custom Framer / Framing Specialist to join our growing team in Houston, TX. This role is ideal for an individual with hands‑on experience creating high‑quality custom framing solutions for sports memorabilia, jerseys, artwork, photographs, diplomas, shadow boxes, and other specialty pieces. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, works with precision, and understands the importance of preserving and presenting valuable items while delivering an exceptional finished product. Key Responsibilities Design and assemble custom frames for jerseys, artwork, photographs, memorabilia, certificates, and specialty displays Measure, cut, and assemble frames, mats, backing materials, and glass/acrylic with a high degree of accuracy Create custom shadow boxes and multi‑dimensional displays Perform mat cutting, mounting, stretching, and finishing techniques using professional framing equipment Handle valuable artwork and memorabilia with care while following preservation and conservation best practices Collaborate with customers and internal teams to determine framing styles, layouts, and design recommendations Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met before delivery Maintain an organized, clean, and safe production workspace Manage framing supplies, materials, and inventory levels Meet production deadlines while maintaining exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail Required Qualifications 2+ years of experience in custom framing, picture framing, art framing, or production framing Experience framing jerseys, sports memorabilia, artwork, shadow boxes, or specialty displays preferred Strong knowledge of framing materials, matting, mounting, and conservation techniques Ability to accurately measure, cut, and assemble custom frames Experience using professional framing equipment and tools Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality work Strong organizational and time‑management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team Ability to lift and move framed artwork and materials as needed Preferred Experience Custom picture framing Jersey and sports memorabilia framing Shadow box construction Fine art handling Canvas stretching Glass and acrylic cutting Dry mounting and conservation mounting Retail or production framing environments Customer consultation and design recommendations Key Skills Custom Framing Picture Framing Jersey & Sports Memorabilia Framing Shadow Box Design & Assembly Mat Cutting & Mounting Fine Art Handling Canvas Stretching Glass & Acrylic Installation Frame Assembly & Finishing Inventory Management Quality Control Precision Measuring & Cutting Conservation Framing Techniques Customer Service & Design Consultation Time Management Problem Solving Attention to Detail Team Collaboration Ideal Candidate Backgrounds Candidates with experience as a Custom Framer, Picture Framer, Framing Specialist, Production Framer, Art Framer, Frame Shop Manager, Gallery Technician, Museum Technician, or Art Handler are encouraged to apply.
