Role Description

The Sales Estimator is a full-time, on-site role based in Independence, OH. This role is responsible for meeting with prospective and existing clients, assessing project requirements, and preparing accurate estimates and proposals for surface maintenance services. Day-to-day tasks include conducting site visits, measuring and documenting project details, reviewing specifications, and collaborating with operations to ensure estimates align with capacity and standards. The Sales Estimator will follow up on leads, maintain a pipeline of opportunities, and support contract negotiations while providing clear, timely communication to clients. The role also involves updating CRM or tracking tools, monitoring project costs versus estimates, and contributing feedback to improve pricing strategies and service offerings.

Qualifications

• Strong customer-facing skills, including customer service and communication abilities to build trust and manage client expectations.
• Proven sales and business development experience to generate new opportunities, follow up on leads, and grow revenue.
• Demonstrated project estimation skills, including measuring, scoping, and preparing detailed, accurate proposals.
• Ability to collaborate with operations and management, interpret technical information, and align estimates with company standards.
• Comfort working on-site and in the field, including performing site visits and inspections in varying weather and environmental conditions.
• Solid organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple bids, deadlines, and follow-ups simultaneously.
• Proficiency with basic office software and digital tools (e.g., spreadsheets, CRM systems, email) for documentation and communication.
• Previous experience in construction, facilities services, pavement or surface maintenance, or a related industry is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local travel to client sites.
