GRILL COOK (FULL TIME AND PART TIME)

Job Summary We are hiring immediately for full‑time and part‑time GRILL COOK positions at 275 Mt. Carmel Ave, Hamden, CT 06518. This role involves preparing food and serving customers at the grill station in accordance with federal, state, and corporate standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure high‑quality food service. Location Quinnipiac University, 275 Mt. Carmel Ave, Hamden, CT 06518 Schedule & Pay Full‑time and part‑time schedules are available. Hours and days may vary; weekends are required. Fixed pay rate: $18.75 per hour. Responsibilities Take orders from customers and prepare items requiring short preparation. Complete orders from steam tables and serve customers at multiple stations. Serve customers in an efficient, friendly manner following established steps of service to meet outlined standards. Ensure food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty; taste all prepared food items. Use established ticket‑collection procedures during service and maintain accurate records. Follow approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control. Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from workstations, stove, and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards. Store foods in designated areas following standard wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures. Clean, sanitize, and maintain all assigned work areas, equipment, and utensils to meet sanitation standards. Resolve customer concerns and report relevant information to the supervisor. Attend in‑service and safety meetings. Maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers. Perform the job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous cook and food service experience required.
