The Opportunity:

Legacy Professional Services is seeking a Lead Scheduler to lead scheduling and project controls activities for hyperscale data center construction projects.

In this role, you'll oversee the development and management of integrated master schedules while providing leadership and direction to a team of Project Schedulers. You'll work closely with owners, general contractors, trade partners, commissioning teams, and project leadership to ensure schedules accurately reflect project scope, sequencing, procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnover requirements.

You'll be responsible for maintaining schedule integrity across complex, fast-track projects, identifying critical path and schedule risks, driving recovery strategies, and providing project leadership with clear and actionable schedule information. You'll also establish consistent scheduling practices, review the work of other schedulers, and help develop the scheduling team.

This position is ideal for an experienced data center scheduling professional who combines strong Primavera P6 and project controls expertise with the leadership skills necessary to guide a scheduling team and influence successful project delivery.

What You'll Do:

• Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of integrated master schedules for large-scale hyperscale data center construction projects.
• Provide day-to-day leadership, direction, and technical guidance to Project Schedulers supporting assigned projects or programs.
• Review scheduler work products for accuracy, schedule logic, consistency, completeness, and compliance with project scheduling standards.
• Establish and maintain scheduling standards, processes, reporting requirements, and best practices across the scheduling team.
• Build and oversee detailed schedules covering design, procurement, site development, core and shell construction, MEP systems, IT infrastructure, commissioning, and owner turnover.
• Integrate subcontractor, vendor, procurement, commissioning, and owner schedules into the overall project schedule.
• Incorporate long-lead equipment procurement, delivery, installation, startup, and testing activities into project schedules to protect critical milestones.
• Perform and oversee Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis, schedule health reviews, and assessment of float, logic, constraints, and critical path integrity.
• Analyze subcontractor and vendor schedules and challenge sequencing, durations, logic, manpower assumptions, and schedule impacts when appropriate.
• Monitor key data center milestones, including mechanical completion, energization, equipment startup, commissioning, Integrated Systems Testing (IST), Ready for Service (RFS), phased turnover, and final completion.
• Identify schedule risks, delays, and emerging trends and work with project teams to develop mitigation and recovery strategies.
• Lead Time Impact Analyses (TIA), schedule scenario planning, and recovery schedule development when required.
• Lead schedule review meetings, pull-planning sessions, collaborative planning workshops, and other schedule-focused discussions with project stakeholders.
• Support Earned Value Management (EVM), schedule performance reporting, KPI dashboards, forecasting, and executive-level project updates.
• Prepare and communicate schedule narratives, milestone reports, critical path analysis, look-ahead information, and schedule risk assessments to project leadership.
• Coordinate closely with construction, MEP, QA/QC, commissioning, procurement, and project controls teams to ensure schedule alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
• Mentor and develop Project Schedulers, providing coaching and feedback to strengthen technical capabilities and overall team performance.
• Support program leadership with resource planning and scheduling priorities across multiple projects, buildings, phases, or workstreams.

Requirements

What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Seven or more years of project scheduling and project controls experience supporting large-scale construction projects.
• Demonstrated scheduling experience on data center or mission-critical construction projects.
• Experience leading, supervising, mentoring, or providing technical direction to Project Schedulers or project controls professionals.
• Advanced proficiency with Oracle Primavera P6, including development and management of complex integrated schedules.
• Advanced knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling, schedule logic, float analysis, constraints, baselines, progress updates, and schedule forecasting.
• Strong understanding of data center construction sequencing, including MEP installation, equipment procurement, energization, commissioning, and phased turnover.
• Experience integrating contractor, subcontractor, vendor, procurement, and commissioning schedules into an integrated master schedule.
• Experience identifying schedule risks and developing mitigation, recovery, and acceleration strategies.
• Experience conducting or supporting Time Impact Analyses and schedule delay evaluations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to effectively present schedule information, risks, and recommendations to project teams and senior leadership.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and project reporting tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting hyperscale data center construction projects.
• Experience leading scheduling activities for projects or programs exceeding $500 million.
• Experience managing schedules across multiple buildings, phases, workstreams, or concurrent projects.
• Strong working knowledge of data center commissioning processes, including Levels 1–5 or equivalent commissioning methodology, utility coordination, phased energization, IST, and turnover.
• Experience with long-lead data center equipment procurement and integration of equipment delivery, startup, and testing into project schedules.
• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and schedule performance metrics.
• Familiarity with Power BI or other project reporting and dashboard tools.
• Understanding of Tier III and Tier IV data center redundancy concepts, including N+1 and 2N architectures.
• Experience establishing scheduling procedures, standards, templates, and reporting practices for project teams or programs.
