Job Summary

A respected medical malpractice defense practice in Winter Park, FL is seeking an Associate Attorney for a full-time, direct hire opportunity. This role is well suited for a litigation attorney with 6 to 10 years of experience who is ready to manage meaningful case work, contribute to defense strategy, and grow within a collaborative legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle medical malpractice defense litigation matters from case development through resolution.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, memoranda, discovery, and other litigation documents.
- Take and defend depositions, attend hearings, and participate in court proceedings.
- Review and analyze case facts, medical records, expert materials, discovery responses, and litigation strategy.
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, experts, court personnel, and internal legal team members.
- Manage case deadlines, litigation calendars, filings, and case files with accuracy and strong attention to detail.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $100,000 to $150,000 per year, depending on candidate experience and overall compensation package.
- Base salary plus bonus.
