Strategic Finance Manager | Advanced Manufacturing Startup | Greater Los Angeles Our client is a well-funded, venture-backed deep tech company building next-generation manufacturing technology for industrial applications. The company runs a vertically integrated operation combining R&D and production under one roof and is scaling fast. This is an strategic finance seat with unusual ownership and direct exposure to leadership and the board. You'll build and run the models behind planning, pricing, and deal activity, and your analysis will feed real decisions rather than sitting in a deck. Ideal for someone out of banking or PE who wants operating-company reps in a high-growth environment. What You\'ll Do Serve as the keeper of the company\'s core operating model: three-statement build, bottoms-up budgeting, and rolling re-forecasts spanning every business unit Turn monthly and quarterly actuals into sharp, board-ready narrative: where results landed versus plan and prior year, and why Model unit economics and pricing at the customer and product level, running scenarios and sensitivities that inform commercial strategy Take the analytical lead on deal work: valuation (DCF, LBO), synergy cases, accretion/dilution, and tracking integration performance Translate the company\'s strategic roadmap into a documented 3-to-5-year financial plan with clearly flagged assumptions and risks Evaluate joint ventures and partnerships, building the economic models, return waterfalls, and term sheet analysis behind them Help leadership weigh capital allocation choices: organic investment versus acquisitions versus balance sheet moves Assemble board materials and investor reporting for venture and growth equity stakeholders Embed with Operations, Sales, and Engineering to bring financial discipline into cross-functional decisions What You Bring Bachelor\'s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or related field 2+ years in investment banking, private equity, or strategic finance at a high-growth company Operating-company exposure to budgeting, variance analysis, and financial reporting Nice to Haves MBA or advanced finance degree Exceptional modeling skills; fluent in Excel with large, assumption-driven data PE or growth equity experience, especially at the portfolio company level Background in manufacturing, hardware, or deep tech FP&A tooling experience (Mosaic, Pigment, Adaptive, or similar) Builder mentality; no task too big or small Details Compensation up to $160K base plus an attractive equity stake, commensurate with experience Full benefits: 100% employer-paid medical/dental/vision, life insurance, 401(k), generous parental leave #J-18808-Ljbffr Genesis Partners - Executive Search
