Inpatient Pharmacist Opportunity
A healthcare facility in the Madison, WI area seeks experienced inpatient pharmacists for a 13-week contract starting June 8. This role involves a mix of day and evening shifts, working five 8-hour shifts per week with rotating every third weekend. Candidates with a minimum of two years of recent inpatient experience will excel in this position.
Location: Madison, WI
Schedule:
- Mix of days (6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) and evenings (2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.)
- 5x8-hour shifts per week
- Rotating every 3rd weekend
Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical pharmacy services in an inpatient/acute care setting
- Perform pharmacokinetic and renal dosing adjustments
- Monitor therapeutic medication regimens
- Manage drug shortages effectively
- Deliver pharmacotherapy management for varied medical problems
- Utilize EPIC electronic medical records for documentation and communication
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- At least 2 years of recent inpatient pharmacy experience
- Proficiency with pharmacokinetic and renal dosing
- Familiarity with therapeutic medication monitoring and drug shortage management
- Experience with EPIC EMR system
- Wisconsin ACT-10 license acceptable
Additional Requirements:
- Must comply with mask fit testing protocols; shaving is mandatory to ensure proper mask seal
- Use of personal PAPRs or CAPRs not permitted; facility-provided scrubs supplied once employment begins
