Intake Analyst

$6,031.00 - $7,547.00 per Month Final Filing Date: 7/14/2026 Under the direction of the Supervisor I, the incumbent will serve in the Provider Complaint Branch’s Intake Unit, responsible for assisting in the processing of complex provider complaints, triaging complaints related to Pharmacy Benefit Managers, assisting the team lead and management in addressing issues impacting the Intake Unit. The incumbent will work independently, confidentially, and take the initiative to address emerging trends. Working Conditions The DMHC has locations in Downtown Sacramento and Rancho Cordova. Both locations are located close to light‑rail with various amenities. The incumbent will work in a climate‑controlled cubicle and/or office environment with artificial lighting. This position may be eligible for hybrid telework. Minimum Requirements Background investigation must be cleared prior to hiring. Must meet the minimum qualifications stated in the Classification Specification. Desirable Qualifications Experience in a fast‑paced production environment. Experience and/or familiarity with medical billing and claims. Experience with complaint or grievance processing. Experience in utilizing reports and data. Ability to communicate effectively with peers and management. Ability to recognize trends through case work or data analysis and provide management with insights and recommendations. Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams).
