Job Title: 1st Shift Hydraulic Assembler



Job Description

This role focuses on assembling, testing, and validating a variety of hydraulic units by accurately reading blueprints and using hand and power tools. The position requires strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of hydraulic systems, and the ability to perform high-pressure and leak testing to ensure each unit meets quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications, components, and assembly sequence for hydraulic units.
• Assemble various types of hydraulic units using appropriate hand tools and power tools in accordance with engineering and quality standards.
• Install and connect hydraulic components such as valves, hoses, fittings, and other related parts to complete the assembly.
• Perform high-pressure testing on completed hydraulic units to verify that they hold pressure within specified limits.
• Conduct leak testing on hydraulic units to ensure there are no leaks and that all connections are secure and properly sealed.
• Inspect assembled units for defects, misalignments, or deviations from specifications and make necessary adjustments or corrections.
• Document test results and communicate any issues or nonconformities to the appropriate team members for resolution.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines while working with hydraulic equipment, high-pressure systems, and tools.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to improve assembly processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in hydraulic assembly.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Hands-on experience working with hydraulic components and systems.
• Proficiency using hand tools and power tools for mechanical assembly.
• Ability to perform precise assembly work while following detailed instructions and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to perform and understand basic testing procedures on hydraulic units.
• Solid mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow safety procedures when working with high-pressure systems and hydraulic equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with high-pressure testing of hydraulic units is preferred.
• Experience performing leak testing on hydraulic systems is preferred.
• Familiarity with valves and other hydraulic components.
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot leaks, pressure issues, and assembly defects.
• Comfort working in a production or assembly environment with mechanical equipment.

Work Environment

This role is based in a hands-on production and assembly environment focused on hydraulic systems. You will regularly use hand tools and power tools to assemble and test units, and you will work with high-pressure hydraulic equipment while following established safety procedures. The work involves standing for extended periods, handling mechanical components, and performing detailed assembly and testing tasks in a workshop or manufacturing setting.

This is a Permanent position based out of Cudahy, WI.

The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
