Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Interventional Radiology Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 26 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Local Contract Required: 26 week assignment8 hour shifts, Mon-Fri, Start times 7 AM, 7:30 AM, and 8:30 AM. Required: Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T.(R) (ARRT) ARRT registration in Vascular Interventional Radiology (VI) within 18 months of start date Current Basic Life Support certification. Job Title: INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY TECH Location: Not specified Job Summary: Provides service to adolescents and adults by producing high-quality images for Radiology and assigned areas within the Operating Room that meet the standards established by the Mayo Clinic Department of Radiology. Requires competence in a variety of equipment and technology. Practices safety guidelines for patients, support personnel, and themselves. Fosters teamwork through effective communication. Maintains flexibility to staff various work locations, shift times, and lengths. Ability to work varied hours, shift lengths, and respond to an on-call pager, which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends. Required Qualifications: Graduated from an accredited Radiologic Technology program or registry eligible with certification obtained before the start date of employment. Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T.(R) (ARRT). ARRT registration in Vascular Interventional Radiology (VI) within 18 months of the start date. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Preferred Qualifications: Experience within a sterile environment and aseptic technique. Associate's degree.
