We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electronic/Mechanical Technician to join our team at the Stennis Space Center. In this role, you will perform a variety of technical duties across electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and optical systems. You will be responsible for the construction, troubleshooting, calibration, adjustment, testing, and maintenance of complex equipment, components, devices, and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Construct, assemble, and modify equipment and systems based on engineering drawings, schematics, and written/verbal instructions.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with electronic, mechanical, and optical systems to determine root causes.
• Perform calibration and alignment checks to ensure equipment meets specified performance standards.
• Make adjustments, modifications, and component replacements as directed by engineering staff.
• Operate related test equipment and conduct tests according to prescribed procedures.
• Record and report test data in the required format.
• Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions as needed for testing or maintenance.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (BS) plus 3–5 years of relevant experience; OR Master’s Degree (MS) plus 0–3 years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with electronic, electromechanical, or optical systems in a testing, maintenance, or manufacturing environment.
• • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Experience with calibration tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
  • Good documentation and communication skills for reporting test data.
