Description

• Conduct evaluations for patients across a spectrum of ages, utilizing both standardized assessments and observational techniques.
• Create tailored treatment plans that target both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy focusing on areas such as language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and caregivers, to offer integrated care strategies.
• Provide educational support to patients and families, enhancing progress outside clinical settings.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational policies.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to remain abreast of the latest advancements in the field.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• A valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred possession of the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
