Senior LTD Claims Case Manager III (NE)

Long Term Disability (LTD) Claims Case Manager III Responsible for making accurate decisions on assigned LTC claims through proactive case management in accordance with plan provisions, state and federal guidelines, and established protocols. Responsibilities Consult with Clinical and Vocational Teams to assist claimants with return‑to‑work efforts when capability and opportunity exist. Administer claims for a variety of group sizes, from small (2+ lives) to large market (1000+ lives). Determine integrated income to ensure appropriate financial risk assessment and accurate payments. Ensure all plan provisions are met throughout the claim duration. Collaborate with legal, investigative resources, and financial specialists as needed. Conduct change‑in‑definition investigations using the Professional Resource Team and outside vendor assistance. Partner with Short Term Disability team on large group claims to identify potential transfers to LTC early and reduce risk exposure. Mentor new hires and collaborate with the Team Leader and Technical Consultant on team trends, focus areas, and training. Qualifications Minimum three years of Long Term Disability claims experience. Four‑year college degree preferred or equivalent work/education experience. Regulatory and compliance experience a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to exercise independent and sound judgment in decision making. Ability to analyze evidence for discrepancies. Ability to conduct research using multiple techniques. Excellent time‑management, organizational, and multitasking skills. Self‑motivated and able to work independently while collaborating with diverse disciplines. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Understanding of medical terminology and conditions helpful. Reporting Relationships Reports to Long Term Disability Team Leader, who reports to Long Term Disability Manager. Location Remote work flexibility; locations include Bethlehem, PA; Plano, TX; Holmdel, NJ.
