Vice President, Environmental Remediation Engineer – California offices (Oakland, Rancho Cordova, Roseville, Petaluma, San Jose, Fresno, Costa Mesa, and San Diego) Job Description WSP is seeking an experienced professional to consult, sell, manage, design, and implement Environmental Multi‑media Remediation programs for clients in the Industrial, Government, Energy, Oil & Gas, and Transportation sectors. The candidate will support business development and help expand WSP’s environmental consulting practice in California and the West. Your Impact Perform business development within Oil & Gas and Industrial/Commercial sectors for environmental remediation, engineering, and related services. Lead design, oversight, mentorship, and direct the efforts of staff‑ and project‑level engineers. Assist preparation of technical reports and proposals. Collaborate with Service Line Leader, Sector Lead, Principal, and Senior‑level employees in the office and firm‑wide. Manage multiple projects, ensuring deliverables, schedules, and budgets are met. Travel to projects as needed for execution of project goals and business development. Achieve sales, revenue, and delivery goals. Required Qualifications BS in Civil, Chemical, Environmental or related Engineering field. California (Civil) Professional Engineer’s License. 12+ years of related environmental remediation and sales experience. Strong work ethic, project management experience, and self‑starter attitude. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience with remediation/assessment projects involving the Regional Quality Water Quality Control Board, DTSC, and/or local CUPAs. Ability to mentor and direct engineers and technicians. Experience with CERCLA, RCRA, DTSC, Water Board, and other CalEPA programs. Consulting experience with petroleum contamination cleanups in soil and groundwater (LNAPL) and/or chlorinated solvent contamination remediation. Consulting experience in soil gas and vapor intrusion issues. Developing and managing complex engineering design and design‑build projects. Oversee remedy construction and operation/maintenance of environmental project work. Must pass drug test, physical, background check, and hold a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record. Preferred Qualifications 40‑Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) (29 CFR 1910.120) preferred. Basic First Aid and Adult CPR training desired.
