POSITION COOK - WEST PARK ELEMENTARY WORK HOURS & SALARY 7 hours/day, 6:30 A.M. – 1:30 P.M. Salary: $18.91 per hour, starting August 24, 2026. RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinate meal preparation, service, clean‑up and record keeping. Provide supervision of employees. QUALIFICATIONS Training, education and/or experience in large‑scale food preparation, record keeping and employee supervision. Demonstrated competence in good communication skills; knowledge of large‑scale food preparation methods, proper use of utensils and equipment, sanitation and safety techniques, basic nutrition, and cooking characteristics of various food items; ability to follow recipes and menus. Willingness to perform cleaning tasks to maintain sanitation compliance. Completion of Food Safety and Sanitation Course as required by the Health Department. Ability to stand for long periods in extreme heat. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Ability to work in a team and collaborate positively with students and staff.
