We work a hybrid model (3 days in the office and 2 days work from home); this position is located in our Minneapolis Metro headquarters. Our Event Solutions Group is seeking interest for a talented Creative Director to join the Event Communications team. You will bring a destination to life by creating and producing high-impact design solutions and engaging marketing materials for incentive travel programs, meetings and bespoke events. You'll be responsible for establishing the creative strategy and overall look and feel of a program. Partnering with our Event Communication Managers, you'll deliver world-class communications to our participants and attendees. Your approach will be polished and fueled by the desire to earn new business. You are willing to push the boundaries and elevate our portfolio offerings. Responsible for the development and production of engaging communication elements for travel programs and events (print, digital and environmental). Contribute to compelling ideation and conceptual development from kick-off to client presentation to creative execution. Responsible for shaping the overall look and feel for our programs in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Roles & Responsibilities:- Conceptualizes and designs compelling travel programs and marketing collateral. Contributes to content, when needed
- Partners with Event Communication Managers and Account Managers to determine a powerful approach and creative strategy for ESG programs
- Focuses on representing the brand voice of our clients by developing and executing design solutions to meet program requirements
- Assists team with the coordination and production of all printed materials, including working with BI internal departments and external vendors and suppliers
- Research and source destination and property photography
- Make decisions on a daily basis that ensure both profitability and superb creativity
- High level of Macintosh proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
- High level of PowerPoint proficiency
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, etc.)
- Strong conceptual thinker who possesses a wide range of hands-on graphic design & production capabilities
- Strong eye for composition and typography
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally with internal BIW partners. Strong collaboration skills, flexibility, and highly resourceful
- Superior interpersonal, communication and storytelling skills
- Strong presentation skills. High comfort level presenting ideas and sales enhancements to client contacts and their teams
- Ability to multi-task and quickly adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Ability to make informed and timely decisions
- Superior proofreading skills
- Copywriting experience is a plus
- Motion graphics/video editing skills are a plus
- BS/BFA in Graphic Design, Communications or related
- 5 years of related experience
- Strong creative portfolio demonstrating creative skills and the ability to produce outstanding work
- Experience to include thorough knowledge of art direction and graphic design (print, digital and environmental)
