Direct Support Professional I & II – La Puente, CA Job Title: Direct Support Professional I & II Hourly Rate: $18.00/hr. What You’ll Do Assist adults with developmental disabilities in their daily lives, supporting independence, health, and personal growth. Assist with hygiene, grooming, dietary, and dressing needs. Support clients with bathroom needs. Change clothing/undergarments when necessary. Prepare meals and complete cleanup. Follow daily routines outlined in the Individual Program Plan (IPP). Redirect behaviors through activities such as walking, reading, games, math, and computer tasks. Provide safe transportation in company vans when required. Help create a supportive, structured, and empowering environment for the individuals you serve. Education & Experience Requirements Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED Certifications Required: CPR/First Aid Experience: 1 year of personal or professional experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities (e.g., Autism) or mental health conditions (e.g., Bipolar) – strongly preferred. Driving Requirements: Valid in‑state driver’s license. Must be 21+. Current registration & insurance. Driving record with no more than 2 points in the past 3 years. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
