Rusty Hooks Dockside Grill is looking for a passionate and skilled Line Cook to join our kitchen team in the charming coastal town of Southport, NC. If you thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment and take pride in putting out quality food, we want to hear from you. Come be part of a team that loves great food and great people! Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout each shift
- Operate and monitor cooking equipment including grills, fryers, and sauté stations
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth, timely ticket execution during service
- Properly store, label, and rotate food products following food safety guidelines
- Assist with prep work including chopping, portioning, and mise en place
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure guest satisfaction
- Previous experience as a line cook, prep cook, or in a similar kitchen role preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (ServSafe certification a plus)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
- Strong multitasking skills and ability to stay calm under pressure
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
