All while understanding that together we are even better.All the benefits and perks you need for you and your family:Benefits from Day One: Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance, Life Insurance, Disability InsurancePaid Time Off from Day One403-B Retirement Plan4 Weeks 100% Paid Parental LeaveCareer DevelopmentWhole Person Well-being ResourcesMental Health Resources and SupportPet BenefitsSchedule: Full timeShift: Day (United States of America)Location: AdventHealth Winter GardenShift: DaysSchedule: 11am-7:30pmSelects appropriate materials and sterilization packaging for each instrument set, ensuring proper wrapping for aseptic technique.Ensures sterility indicators and lot stickers are present on all instrument sets and packages.Operates complex sterilization equipment, selecting the correct method of sterilization based on manufacturer instructions.Reviews and signs all sterilizer recording charts to verify proper sterilization parameters before releasing items for clinical use.Monitors sterilizer printouts, maintains records, and documents all requirements in appropriate log books or computer systems.Properly identifies and segregates reusable items for decontamination, disinfection, and sterilization, selecting appropriate cleaning methods based on manufacturer instructions.Disassembles and inspects items for damage or missing components, ensuring safe operation of all equipment in the decontamination area.Accurately assembles instruments, complex instrument sets, and other surgical items, recording information in the computer tracking system or paper instrument count sheet.Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking and comprehending English effectively in order to carry out job requirements.Ability to understand the needs of the customer and respond to them in a pro-active, courteous, professional, and efficient manner.Flexibility and ability to adapt to change.Ability to work under stress and deadlines.Medical terminologyUnderstanding of the principles of microbiology, aseptic principles and techniques, and infection control as they apply to sterile supply operation.Basic knowledge of prevention of cross contamination and the critical nature of nosocomial infections.Knowledge of the use, operation, maintenance, assembly, disassembly and cleaning requirements of the full range of instruments and equipment.Ability and experience with computer systemsEducation:High School Grad or Equiv [Required]Technical/Vocational School [Preferred]Field of Study: in healthcare sterile processingWork Experience:1+ related experience [Preferred]Licenses and Certifications:Certified Registered Central Service Tech (CRCST) [Required] OR Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) [Required]Physical Requirements: (Please click the link below to view work requirements) Physical Requirements - Range: $17.28 - $27.65This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
