Sr. Software EngineerThe Sr. Software Engineer provides software development support by analyzing business requirements to design and develop appropriate systems solutions according to specifications. They provide technical expertise in evaluating, designing, developing, deploying, monitoring, testing and supporting systems and procedures that are cost effective and improve work efficiency. Additionally, the software development engineer partners with enterprise and solution architects to ensure that the application meets company service level standards and roadmap requirements. The software development engineer is embedded within an agile team and is able to quickly adapt to shifting business priorities. The Sr Software Engineer will work in a product team operating model with a Product Manager, a UX Designer and other software engineers.Primary ResponsibilitiesDevelop front-end, back-end, and/or middleware solutions to given problemsTranslate business needs into technical requirementsProvide constructive feedback in code reviews and help others to become better developersMaintain and iterate on multiple interconnected build systemsOwn the development of scalable single-page applicationsWrite well-designed, efficient code that works across devicesDevelop high-demand authoring and user experiencesStay up-to-date on cutting edge technologies/tools in the Web Development sphereCreate Proof of Concepts/Rapid prototypes and implement themContribute to CI/CT/CD process using DevOps toolsContribute to Grooming/Planning/Scrum meetings and be a part of required scrum eventsAnalyze end user needs and design, develop and unit test your softwareContribute to design and coding standards to ensure consistency across applicationsKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesExperience with headless application architecturesExperience with frontend tools & technologies, such as Next.js, Webpack, modern JavaScript, TypeScript, Storybook.js, and ReactExperience with APIs and webhooks a plusExperience with web performance and accessibility tools and techniques is a plusExperience developing for CMS platformsExperience with Content Management Systems is a plusExperience with Git is a plusAbility to discover requirements from provided graphical designsDemonstrate excellent communication and inter-personal skillsDemonstrate strong time management and organizational skillsAbility to provide exceptional support to both internal and external customersAbility to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced, changing environmentA self-starter with the drive, passion, and will to succeedDemonstrate excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skillsDemonstrate basic knowledge of continuous integration; build and deploy automation toolsWorking knowledge of CI/CDQualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience7+ years of experience in all phases of modern full-stack web developmentExpert CSS and JavaScript development skillsExperience using/developing for CMS Platforms, Sanity.io is a plusExperience with multiple software development methodologies/lifecycles
