RPh on the Go is seeking a Retail Staff Pharmacist for a 9-week contract assignment at a hospital-owned community pharmacy in Buckeye, WV. The pharmacy offers a welcoming, community-focused environment with traditional retail pharmacy services, a gift shop, and a coffee shop.
Position Details
Position: Retail Staff Pharmacist
Setting: Hospital-Owned Community Pharmacy
Assignment: 9-Week Contract
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: 2 days per week, 20 hours total
Preferred Days: Tuesday and Wednesday; flexibility is available
Shift: 7:30 AM–6:00 PM, including a 30-minute lunch
Job Responsibilities
Oversee daily retail pharmacy operations and direct pharmacy technicians and staff pharmacists
Verify prescriptions and ensure safe, accurate medication dispensing
Manage pharmacy inventory, medication stock, and formulary
Maintain compliance with controlled substance regulations and documentation requirements
Oversee 340B program administration and compliance
Manage pharmacy billing, claims submission, and reconciliation
Use pharmacy and electronic health record systems; training is available
Administer immunizations
Requirements
Active, clear West Virginia pharmacist license
Current CPR certification
Active immunization certification
Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy; PharmD preferred but not required
PioneerRx experience
Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
