An administrative-level role reporting to the Head of School and responsible for managing and maintaining all aspects of school technology infrastructure and equipment in support of faculty, staff, and students at Maine Central Institute. Provide strategic vision and planning to ensure all technology assets are appropriate, functional, and utilized professionally. Create and manage the technology budget for the institution. Work with school leadership to develop and implement strategies for effective technology integration into the curriculum. Manage and maintain all technology resources including budgets, network infrastructure, academic and administrative systems, hardware/software, and phone services. Provide and maintain a high quality technology support environment for all faculty, staff, and students. Establish and monitor information technology standards, procedures, and policies. Skills & Experience IT leadership experience with proven success managing technology resources and services, preferably in an educational setting. Demonstrated ability to build productive partnerships with end users through effective communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent oral, written, and analytical communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to articulate a technology vision and develop strategic and operational IT plans in collaboration with academic and administrative leadership. High commitment to quality and comfort working in a fast-paced, high-standards organization. Working knowledge of hardware, software, networking, and related enterprise technologies. Technically proficient in areas like VLANs, Wireless Infrastructure, Firewalls, Network Security, Knowledge of Apple Products, VMware Virtualization, Microsoft Server OS, Active Directory, Google Apps, and Cisco Hardware MCI offers a competitive benefits program including medical, vision and dental plans, disability, life insurance, and flexible spending accounts.
