Registered Nurse - Patient Educator (PRN) Immediate Openings - Durham, NC

$22.45 - $44.85 per hour

Abbott seeks a registered nurse to provide in-home patient education on PT/INR testing equipment and blood sample collection for home-based anticoagulation management customers. This is a per-diem position based in Durham, NC, requiring travel to patient residences within the local area.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and conduct in-home training appointments with customers and caregivers
  • Demonstrate proper use, care, and operation of PT/INR equipment
  • Instruct on finger stick blood sample collection technique
  • Explain test reporting options and document training records electronically
  • Maintain professional communication with patients and Acelis Connected Health via phone, email, and secure systems

Requirements

  • Current registered nurse license
  • Clinical experience required
  • Reliable personal transportation and willingness to travel minimum 100 miles roundtrip
  • Computer and smartphone proficiency with troubleshooting capability
  • Access to personal laptop/desktop computer and printer
  • Direct experience or exposure to anticoagulation management or homecare preferred

Compensation: $22.45–$44.85/hour
