As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) , you'll play an essential role in delivering exceptional resident-centered care while supporting Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team. From medication management to resident assessments and family communication, you'll help ensure residents receive the highest quality care in a compassionate and supportive environment.

What You'll Do
Resident Care & Clinical Support

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established standards, physician orders, and individualized care plans
• Monitor resident health status and report changes to physicians, families, and nursing leadership as appropriate
• Perform resident assessments and contribute to ongoing care planning
• Support residents in maintaining their highest level of independence, dignity, and quality of life
• Participate in admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed

Medication & Treatment Management

• Prepare and administer medications safely and accurately
• Monitor resident responses to medications and treatments
• Maintain medication records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Order medications and coordinate with pharmacy providers as needed
• Ensure appropriate stock levels of medications, supplies, and equipment are maintained

Team Leadership & Support

• Provide daily oversight and direction to CNAs and nursing assistants
• Assist with work assignments and ensure nursing care is delivered according to policy and procedure
• Promote teamwork, communication, and accountability among staff
• Serve as a clinical resource and support for team members throughout the shift
• Help create a positive and supportive work environment

Quality, Compliance & Resident Advocacy

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records
• Support infection prevention and quality assurance initiatives
• Ensure resident rights, privacy, and confidentiality are upheld
• Participate in care plan development and resident care conferences
• Assist with compliance efforts related to federal, state, and facility regulation

Skills You Need
Must Have Skills

• Active Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
• Current CPR certification
• Strong clinical and medication administration skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to supervise and support nursing assistants
• Strong documentation and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience in Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, Rehabilitation, or Long-Term Care
• Experience working with older adults
• Familiarity with electronic health records
• Previous leadership or charge nurse experience
