Automotive Service Technician

Automotive Technician PositionOlson Chevrolet of Hutchinson is seeking a motivated automotive technician to join our service department. Experience is preferred but we will consider all qualified applicants. We pride ourselves on taking care of our employees and providing great customer service, quality, and value.Responsibilities and DutiesPerform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership.Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.QualificationsAll 9 ASE Certifications (preferred / current)Previous experience at an automotive dealership is preferredStrong understanding of the service driveYears of experience vary per positionHigh school diploma or equivalentDexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordinationMechanical and troubleshooting skillsExcellent customer service skillsBasic computer competenciesPositive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentalityEnjoy working in a fast-paced environmentTeam player with ability to collaborate with others effectivelyAbility to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specificationsAble to operate electronic diagnostic equipmentValid driver's license and clean driving recordWe OfferDiscounts on products and servicesCareer advancementContinued educationClean professional work environmentAdditional BenefitsHealth InsuranceLife & AD&D InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceShort Term Disability CoverageRetirement Plan with employer matchPaid time offTop pay scales with bonus opportunitiesEmployment securityWellness program
