Join the 4G Medical Surgical/Telemetry Unit at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, a proud member of Mass General Brigham. This is an excellent opportunity for nurses seeking to build upon their acute care experience while gaining exposure to a diverse patient population and advanced cardiac monitoring and interventions. 3238 bed unit offers a supportive environment focused on clinical excellence, teamwork, and professional development. What You'll Find Here 5:16:1 RN-to-patient ratio for Medical-Surgical/Telemetry patients Dedicated unit-based Clinical Educator House-wide Night Shift Clinical Educator Day and Night Clinical Practice Leaders Clinical Coach available 7 nights per week Resource RN with minimal patient assignment Dedicated Licensed Nursing Assistants (LNAs) on each shift Self-scheduling opportunities Strong culture of teamwork, mentorship, and clinical support

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions
• Interpret and implement individualized plans of care
• Modify treatment plans based on patient responses and clinical status
• Accurately screen and triage acute patients
• Administer medications and treatments safely and effectively
• Monitor patients for reactions or side effects
• Record and communicate changes in patient condition
• Maintain accurate, complete, and timely patient records
• Document medical information, assessments, and vital signs
• Report symptoms, changes in condition, and patient outcomes
• Partner with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
• Participate in care planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Support a team-based approach to delivering exceptional patient care

Required Qualifications

• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• Licensure & Certifications: Current Registered Nurse (RN) License required Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification preferred Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification preferred Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification preferred
• Experience: 01 year of clinical nursing experience required
• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Understanding of nursing principles and clinical skills necessary to provide patient care and treatment Knowledge of age-specific patient care needs for assigned populations Ability to maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive information Knowledge of medical terminology Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to accurately assess, screen, and triage acute patients Effective critical thinking and clinical decision-making abilities
