HRIS Time Administrator - Remote
This role serves as the subject matter expert (SME) for Ryder's timekeeping system(s). As a central point of contact for employees submitting time and supervisors approving it, this position bridges the gap between the system, its users and the key departments involved, included but not limited to Human Resources and Payroll.
This position will ensure seamless coordination across stakeholders, maintaining system integrity, and support timely and accurate payroll processing. This includes troubleshooting issues, guiding users, collaborating on enhancements, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and various regulations.
Essential functions include:
- Providing proactive support to employees and managers navigating the timekeeping system(s), including system navigation, analysis involving payroll disputes, inquiries regarding time-off balances, holiday and proxy guidance, reviews of potential Workday integration disruptions, issue resolution, and customer support on absence management tracking.
- Conducting regular audits of timekeeping system(s) to ensure employee usage aligns with established policies and regulatory requirements, including access and role validation, compliance checks validating employees and managers are following timekeeping policies, ensuring timekeeping practices comply with collective bargaining agreements (CBAs), and monitoring of general system performance.
- Maintaining an active and collaborative relationship with HR and Payroll stakeholders to ensure timely awareness of Ryder processes, payroll updates, and disputes that may impact the timekeeping system(s).
- Continuously evaluating, updating, and distributing the timekeeping system(s) training materials to ensure alignment with evolving operational needs, system enhancements, and compliance requirements.
- Ensuring that new users, as well as existing employees transitioning into new roles are granted timely access to the system(s) and appropriate training.
- Completing proxy set-ups within the timekeeping system(s) to ensure service within the management function is not disrupted during absences.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Providing user support: Address and resolve users' inquiries related to system navigation and integrations.
- Ensuring timely follow-up: Maintain consistent and proactive communication with users to ensure issues are resolved promptly and correctly.
- Escalating complex issues: Identify and escalate issues beyond the scope of resolution to the appropriate stakeholder(s) or vendors for timely resolution.
- Diagnostic research: Collect comprehensive information pertaining to the issue before escalation to facilitate an efficient resolution.
- Monitoring systems: Run and analyze periodic reports to identify discrepancies within the system(s) such as missing data, data integrity, or other abnormalities.
- Maintaining training materials: Ensure all training materials are correct and standardized, reflecting both system updates and regulatory requirements.
- Building knowledge resources: Develop and maintain a centralized knowledge repository to support the use of Quick Reference Guides (QRGs) and Frequently Asked Question (FAQs).
- Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications include:
- Associate's Degree in Human Resources, General Business, Computer Systems, or similar discipline.
- Two to three years of hands-on experience in Human Resources practices and policies.
- Must understand the role of Human Resources and how it influences the business and its employees in day-to-day activities.
- Must know how to train and how to influence and persuade the system's day-to-day users.
- Knowledge and appreciation for the inter-relationship between the timekeeping system(s) and Payroll Services.
- General knowledge of compliance rules and regulations (Ryder, federal, state, local) as they pertain to timekeeping for U.S., Puerto Rico and Canada.
- Proven knowledge of MS Office Suite with emphasis on Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word and Access.

Compensation Information:
The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc. The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type.
