Program Assistant Douglas ESD - Roseburg, Oregon Job Details Job ID: 5846882 Application Deadline: Jul 28, 2026 11:59 PM (UTC) Posted: Jul 22, 2026 12:00 AM (UTC) Starting Date: Immediately Starting Salary: $16.90 - $21.77 per hour Position Type: Full-time Salary: $16 to $21 Per Hour Job Description Program Assistant - Douglas ESD Douglas Education Service District is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Program Assistant for our Douglas Early Intervention / Early Childhood Special Education department. 190 days per year, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day to begin in August 2026. Summers off! Job Summary Functions as clerical support for assigned department or program strand. Duties Provide coverage for front reception area by greeting guests and/or answering phones as needed and requested. Coordinates meetings, programs, or events specific to the department by communicating, arranging, and organizing all components as directed. Composes and prepares pertinent correspondence, reports, minutes, and memoranda in appropriate format, applying knowledge of established departmental procedures and functions. Applies knowledge of agency rules, policies, and procedures when working with internal and external customers. Indexes and files correspondence, reports, and other materials for department or program strand. Receives and distributes mail, supplies, and other materials for department or program strand. Operates standard office equipment such as, copy machine, computer, printer, scanner, etc. Uses appropriate software efficiently and effectively to accomplish work within the department or program strand. Completes department specific projects and tasks as directed by supervisor. Completes data entry per specific job duties. Adhere to workplace expectations Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel to and from school locations in the Douglas ESD service area and may be required to travel on overnight assignments. Other duties as assigned Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent required. Experience in office work is preferred.
