Parts Clerk - Cashier 1

Job Overview Holt CAT in Little Elm, Texas is hiring a Cashier/Parts Clerk 1. The role involves communicating with customers and employees, processing parts transactions accurately, and assisting with warehouse inventory operations. Forklift operation is required. Hours are Monday–Friday, 7 am to 5 pm. Department: Machine Division (MAC) – Full Time – Reporting to Tracy Brockette. Essential Functions Model HOLT’s Value‑Based Leadership tools and processes. Accept and process cash and credit card payments for parts and service departments. Complete and evaluate customer action pending reports. Maintain petty cash account and submit daily cash totals to Accounting. Coordinate orders and location tags from printers; prioritize processing. Perform document maintenance using CDIS procedures. Compile customer tax‑exempt files. Submit end‑of‑day closeout report to Accounting. Work safely, adhering to safety policies and company procedures. Perform any other duties assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Experience with credit card charge machines and cash transactions. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Reliable phone and customer service skills. Computer proficiency, including parts‑management software. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with attention to detail. Self‑motivated, dependable, and able to complete tasks on time. Strong organizational and time‑management skills; works independently. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Up to two years of related work experience preferred; parts‑store or customer‑service experience highly desired. Forklift certification or ability to obtain one. Additional Information No supervisory responsibilities. Up to 5 % travel may be expected. Physical: can perform tasks for extended periods while stationary; occasional lifting up to 10 lb. Work environment: professional office, controlled conditions, fast pace with unscheduled interruptions.
