Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Speech Language Pathologist \n Discipline: Therapy \n Start Date: ASAP \n Duration: 36 weeks \n Employment Type: Local Contract \n \n \n ESS Clinical is seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in partnership with Carlsbad Municipal Schools in Carlsbad, New Mexico. PAY Starting at $67/hr W2 or $75/hr 1099 \n Essential Responsibilities \n \n Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations and assessments. \n Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation findings. \n Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services. \n Develop measurable goals and objectives for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). \n Participate in eligibility determination meetings, IEP meetings, and multidisciplinary team meetings. \n Collaborate with teachers, administrators, occupational therapists, physical therapists, school psychologists, and families. \n Monitor student progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate. \n Maintain accurate therapy documentation, evaluation reports, Medicaid documentation (if applicable), and progress notes. \n Provide consultation regarding classroom accommodations, assistive technology, and communication strategies. \n Ensure compliance with IDEA, state regulations, and district policies. \n Qualifications\n \n Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university. \n Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred; Clinical Fellowship (CF) candidates are encouraged to apply if district-approved supervision is available. \n Experience providing pediatric or school-based speech-language services preferred. \n Strong knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and educational service delivery. \n Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. \n Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary educational team. \n Required Licensure & Certification\n \n Current New Mexico Speech-Language Pathologist License issued by the New Mexico Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology, and Hearing Aid Dispensing Practices Board , or eligibility to obtain licensure before the start of employment. \n New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) PreK–12 Speech-Language Pathologist License (or eligibility to obtain) for providing speech-language services in New Mexico public schools. \n ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellowship candidates may be considered if they meet district and state requirements. \n Ability to successfully complete all district onboarding requirements, fingerprinting, and criminal background screening prior to employment. \n Why Join ESS Clinical?\n \n Competitive weekly pay \n Medical, dental, and vision benefits for eligible employees \n 401(k) retirement plan \n Dedicated Clinical and Operations support \n Professional development opportunities \n Clinical mentorship and ongoing recruiter support \n School schedule with holidays and breaks \n Opportunity to positively impact students' communication skills and educational success \n \n At ESS Clinical, we are committed to connecting exceptional clinicians with rewarding school-based careers.
