The company is known for its curated collections and design expertise and has expanded to 3 showrooms across Connecticut, serving clients throughout New England and beyond. Job Title: Showroom Manager Location: Old Saybrook, Connecticut Effective Date: 07/06/2026 Reports To: Chief Design and Commercial Officer Direct Reports: Home Shop Sales Manager and Design Sales Team Compensation: Salary range is $75,000 to $90,000 plus bonus percentage of Team Sales Key Responsibilities As Showroom Manager, you will operate a multi-million dollar business and lead a talented team of high end design sales professionals, expertly managing operations to achieve our sales targets. Additionally, you will ensure that both the interior and exterior of our facility reflect our high visual standards, embodying our commitment to excellence. Your leadership will drive our success and elevate the customer experience! Required Core Competencies A background in retail Strong organization and attention to detail Solid comfort and skill with various technologies and platforms Proven supportive leadership skills to drive revenue results and build positive team dynamics Daily Responsibilities Champion our vision and values. Schedule a key holder to open and close the Old Saybrook Flagship store daily, and for after-hours events. Ensure the store and staff are prepared and ready for the start of the business day. Maintain an engaging and supportive presence on the sales floor to support the Sales Team, observe customer interactions, and assist in closing sales. Develop solid vendor and product knowledge to help the team place orders when needed. Assist clients on an as-needed basis across all departments. Uphold the store's visual standards and aesthetic, both internally and externally. Help troubleshoot in-store customer service issues. Work with the Warehouse Team as needed to replace sold furniture, art, lamps, and home decor items, while maintaining the overall aesthetic of each area of the store. Identify key clients and foster relationships with them to ensure excellent customer service is provided and to grow business opportunities with them. Weekly Responsibilities Monitor departmental and individual sales, supporting Teams to hit their benchmarks. Ensure the sales team is embracing and following the Saybrook Home sales process, from initial client interaction through closing the sale to post-sale follow-up. Complete weekly sales reports and actively engage in sales meetings to explore new opportunities, address store needs, strategize performance improvements through data analysis, and provide feedback on product performance and placement. Conduct bi-monthly 1:1 Sales meetings with individual Team members to review their monthly performance, open opportunities, and provide constructive feedback and appropriate ongoing development support. Facilitate weekly schedule coverage, approve all PTO, authorize expenses and mileage in the HR platform. Monthly Responsibilities Lead 1:1 relational check-in meetings with team members and record in the HR platform. Host a monthly Sales Meeting to inform the team of changes and upcoming promotions. Obtain confirmation from the Sales Team of their bi-monthly sales and ensure any necessary adjustments are made. Create monthly schedules for the team and publish them in the HR platform. Complete a monthly fill/reorder of the store supply list to ensure we’re well-equipped. Other Responsibilities Participate in new-hire interviews and facilitate training sessions to ensure new hires are trained in a timely, thorough manner. Set and monitor individual employee goals, and administer performance management and reviews via the HR platform. Ensure vendors' sales tools are up to date. Implement store markdowns and assist with the setup of sales/promotions, and ensure proper signage is posted. Offer assistance in other areas as needed to support our team and customers.
