JOB SUMMARY:

The Estimator is responsible for supporting the preconstruction effort for one or more disciplines, quantity survey, subcontractor solicitation, and independent research of specified items, including the determination of applicable project plans, specifications and supporting documentation.

SALARY RANGE:

$90,000 - $115,000 annually

You are immediately 100% vested in all contributions (including BNB match). We provide both traditional (pre-tax) and Roth (post-tax) contribution options. We are proud to be an employee-owned company. This means you get an ownership stake in BNB through a benefit called an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). It's 100% company-funded and is invested in BNBuilders stock. You can participate in this long-term plan after you complete 1 year of service (with at least 1,000 hours).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Internal Prepare consistently accurate, detailed, quantity surveys. Identify, research and obtain relevant information, through independent research, related to items for which they are tasked with quantifying or soliciting subcontractor proposals. Independently develop complete project cost estimate package for projects in a range up to $5m, depending on complexity. Owner / Architect Attend preconstruction meetings to learn project information and gain exposure to external customer interactions. Subcontractor Awareness of the local subcontractor community and ability to understand and differentiate capabilities of the subcontractors being solicited for proposals. Able to discuss project scope clearly and effectively during the subcontractor solicitation process.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree within the construction field. Excellent listening and communication skills. Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, estimating software (Timberline or similar), and scheduling software (Primavera or similar). Careful attention to detail and resourcefulness in acquiring project specific information. Demonstrates a strong work ethic. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Demonstrates ability to effectively manage multiple tasks under differing deadlines. Able to work flexible hours as needed or required by project or proposal deadlines.
