Experienced Pet Groomer

Furry Land Milwaukee is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced pet groomer to join our mobile grooming team part time and as a staffing need arises.

Our groomers typically earn $250-400/day through commissions and tips, depending on schedule, production, quality, and client demand.

We’re adding another grooming van because of strong client demand. This role is best for a groomer who is reliable, skilled, professional with clients, and comfortable working independently.

Why Groomers Like Working With Us:

• Strong earning potential for dependable, quality groomers
• Mobile grooming with one-on-one appointments
• Strong client demand and repeat customers
• Supportive, employee-focused team
• Professional grooming vans and quality equipment
• Less salon chaos and more personal client relationships

What You’ll Do:

• Drive a mobile grooming van to client appointments
• Bathe, dry, brush, and groom dogs
• Perform breed-standard and client-requested haircuts
• Assess coat condition, matting, temperament, and safety
• Communicate clearly with pet parents
• Keep the van clean, sanitized, stocked, and ready
• Manage your daily pace and schedule independently

What We’re Looking For:

• Professional grooming experience, including haircuts
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Strong grooming quality and attention to detail
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Comfort working with anxious or nervous pets
• Valid Wisconsin driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift pets weighing 50+ pounds
• Coachable attitude and willingness to keep improving

This Role Is a Great Fit If You:

• Take pride in your grooming work
• Show up consistently and on time
• Like working independently
• Communicate well with clients
• Want a calmer alternative to a traditional salon
• Are motivated by quality work, happy pets, and strong earnings

This Role May Not Be a Fit If You:

• Need frequent last-minute schedule changes
• Struggle with punctuality or attendance
• Do not want feedback on your grooming work
• Are uncomfortable driving or working alone
• Prefer a casual or low-accountability job

Hiring Process:

Qualified candidates may complete:

• Phone interview
• In-person interview
• Portfolio review of recent grooming work
• Grooming skills evaluation
• Reference check

The first 90 days focus heavily on attendance, professionalism, grooming quality, safety, coachability, client communication, and consistency. Apply today if you’re a reliable, skilled groomer who wants to join a growing mobile grooming team that values great work, happy pets, satisfied clients, and the people who make it possible. #J-18808-Ljbffr
