RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Tele Float Pool

Job Details:

/n

• Work 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM)
/n• Float throughout Zone 4 which covers a 60-mile radius from Garden City center
/n• Must float between three facilities: Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital (Ulysses), St. Catherine-Dodge City, and St. Catherine-Garden City
/n• Work 6-9 weekend shifts within each 6-week schedule
/n• May be placed in holiday rotation
/n• Schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance with two possible formats: scheduled at single facility for the week or Just-In-Time assignments given 1-2 hours before shift start
/n• Float between multiple units including General MS-Tele, Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation
/n• May float to other acuity levels including ICU (low acuity holds within skillset), PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele
/n• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5-6 based on acuity
/n• Care for adult and geriatric populations with various diagnoses including cardiac, neuro, ortho, oncology, post-surgical patients, and general medicine
/n• Titrate Heparin drips as needed
/n• Work with EPIC charting system and Alaris pumps
/n• Rare call or standby requirements for low census
/n• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
/n• Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation
/n• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS
/n• Minimum 2 years MS-Tele experience in last 3 years required
/n• Prior neurology experience preferred
/n• Alaris and EPIC experience preferred
/n• Must be available for week of orientation in state
/n• All time off requests must be submitted prior to starting assignment
