Clinical Staff (LVN, CNA, EMT)Beta Academy is a Title -1 Schoolwide CampusQualifications:BLS/CPR certificationKnowledge of many areas of health including mental healthKnowledge of school laws and policiesAbility to work independently or with othersAbility to communicate well with othersAbility to assess situations and act quicklyKnowledge of state health regulationsAbility to multitaskReports To:Chief Business Officer or Campus PrincipalEmployment Terms:Full-time (7:30-4:30) / 10 month/ Hourly- $15.00-$20.00 / 100% OnsiteKey Responsibilities:Maintains a clean and organized workspaceTreat students and staff as neededEnsure students receive all required health screeningsEvaluate patients who complain of specific ailmentsCall parents to suggest they pick up patients who might be uncomfortable or who might have developed a contagious illnessEducate students on hand washing, germs, and other health care and safety issuesExamine and authenticate vaccination recordsMonitor and dispense prescription medications based on instructions from parents and GPsContact parents and teachers with any medical emergencyMaintain files on each student's health and medical historyEnsure shot records are up to date and immunization records are accurate.Develop care plans for students with ongoing conditionsConsult with teachers, school administrators, and other school staff regarding student careAdminister medicationMonitor student immunization recordsEducate students and staff on health proceduresHelp students who have disabilitiesRecognizes problems and impediments and reports them promptly with options for solutions to the site director; promotes and assists with constructive resolutions.Provide a safe and clean environment for patientsAdheres to and enforces board policy, school guidelines, and administrative directivesRead and comply with the Procedures Manual, Employee Handbook, Scholar Handbook, and Scholar Code of ConductEstablishes and maintains professional and cooperative working relationships with all stakeholders: parents, scholars, staff, neighbors, and partners.Promotes and maintains a positive and effective school climate by ensuring that all interactions with staff, scholars, parents, and the public at large are prompt, efficient, helpful, and friendly.Other duties as assigned by the principal and campus secretary.
