Construction Associate

Job Overview A law firm seeks a Construction Associate in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have two to five years of experience in construction law, including litigation, arbitration, and transactional matters. This role offers exposure to both public and private construction projects, with opportunities to collaborate on federal construction disputes and procurement issues. Duties Represent clients in complex construction litigation and arbitration. Engage in transactional matters related to construction projects. Collaborate with the Government Contracts practice on federal disputes. Manage multiple active matters and competing deadlines. Requirements 2-5 years of construction law experience at a law firm or in-house legal department. Admission to the D.C., Maryland, and/or Virginia bar (or eligibility for prompt admission). Experience with construction contracts, claims, or dispute resolution. Strong writing, analytical, and client-communication skills. Education J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with a strong academic record. Certifications Admission to relevant state bar(s). Skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
