Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

This is a 13-week contract position.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

The Registered Nurse in the Medical Surgical unit is responsible for providing high-quality patient care, managing a patient load of up to 6 patients, and collaborating with healthcare teams to facilitate optimal patient outcomes. Strong IV skills, foley catheter insertion, and EKG experience are essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Perform nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient progress and update care plans accordingly.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely in the EHR system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• Respond to patient needs and assist with daily living activities as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current RN License.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience with at least one travel assignment completed.
• Certifications: NIH Stroke Scale, ACLS, BLS.
• Ability to start IVs, insert foley catheters, and perform EKGs.
