Moreover, the incumbent oversees subordinate staff to ensure optimal performance in furtherance of the departmental goals and objectives.**CORE JOB FUNCTIONS*** Supervises the handling of all cash transactions and charges according to established policies and procedures.* Ensures that costs do not exceed the amount of money allocated for food service.* Ensures that all federal, state, and local health codes for food service operations are followed.* Assures supplies and food items are replenished and sustains inventory for daily operations.* Assists service staff during mealtime and greets residents and guests.* Oversees that all set up and breakdown procedures for food and equipment are maintained.* Communicates and enforces safety regulations.* Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures.
