[Responsibilities]

- Issue purchase orders for raw materials, parts, equipment, and supplies to meet production schedules
- Track and expedite material deliveries, proactively resolving shipment delays
- Liaise with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, confirm availability, and negotiate delivery terms
- Analyze price proposals and financial data to ensure cost-effective purchasing
- Maintain accurate procurement records, including costs, delivery timelines, and supplier performance
- Administer supplier agreements within defined authority; escalate complex issues as needed
- Collaborate with Engineering, Planning, and Production to align purchasing with changing production requirements
- Evaluate product quality in partnership with quality control and resolve claims or complaints
- Enter and manage purchase orders in the MRP system, ensuring timely follow-up on outstanding orders
- Support inventory control by coordinating with planners to meet site and corporate financial targets
- Update suppliers with engineering changes and manage supplier performance closely
- Approve invoices for payment within scope of authority

[Required Skills and Experience]

- 1-3 years of purchasing or procurement experience
- Entry-level proficiency in procurement processes and MRP systems
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize under supervision
- Familiarity with basic financial analysis and recordkeeping
- Must be eligible for ITAR access and able to work with controlled EAR items

[Preferred Skills]

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Working knowledge of supplier performance management
- Exposure to engineering change processes
