Our organization is in search of dedicated and mission-driven Primary Care Physicians to provide exceptional care for our veterans at the Hemet Community Based Outpatient Clinic.
We are actively looking for Primary Care Physician Providers to support our Veterans, America's Heroes . This is an exciting opportunity to join our modern clinic in Hemet, which offers a range of services including primary care, behavioral health, telemedicine, preventive medicine, neurology, infectious disease, laboratory, and audiology services. As one of nine community-based outpatient clinics, we serve over 80,000 Veterans in the Inland Empire, ensuring they receive care close to home and enhancing their access to health and wellness services. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Providing clinical supervision and guidance to mid-level practitioners (nurse practitioners or physician assistants).
- Mentoring medical students and residents (interns, residents, and/or fellows).
- Actively engaging in Medical Center committees and teams.
- Participating in various facility programs aimed at improving patient care services, such as Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) teams.
- Identifying personal professional development needs and engaging in formal programs, workshops, seminars, and self-directed learning activities, including completing mandatory education annually.
- Delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to adult outpatients, particularly those aged 65 and older.
- Staying updated on advancements in disease management and treatment through ongoing medical education.
- Effectively integrating patient care activities within Primary Care Services and other programs at the medical center and in the community, including Social Work, Prosthetics, Home Based Health Care (HBHC), and private nursing homes.
- Demonstrating proficiency in diagnosing and treating complex, multi-symptomatic patients.
- Timely completion of all medical record documentation in CPRS.
- Involving patients, families, and healthcare providers in setting realistic, measurable health education and treatment goals, and in planning continuous care.
- Planning, implementing, and evaluating care tailored to individual patient needs.
- Assessing veterans using advanced clinical judgment and physical assessment skills.
- Identifying acute, non-acute, and chronic health issues.
- Participating in grading sessions for medical students and GME trainees assigned to their services.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Possess a current, full, and unrestricted medical license in a U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
- Completion of Internal Medicine Residency Training.
- Preferred Experience: Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Practice is preferred; ideally, 5 years of primary care experience, with a minimum of 3 years of recent active primary care clinical practice, including women's health experience.

- Survivor Benefits: Eligibility for survivor benefits after 10 years of service.
- Annual Leave: Receive 208 hours (approximately 26 days) of annual leave, along with unlimited paid sick leave and 11 paid federal holidays from the start.
