Housekeeping Room AttendantThe Room Attendant is an integral part of the housekeeping team, responsible for the cleanliness of the resort guest rooms and public spaces. The Room Attendant will service vacant and occupied guest rooms, all while providing attentive and anticipatory guest service.ResponsibilitiesCleaning and servicing of assigned guestrooms or common areas when directed, according to Sensei's established standards of proceduresProvide vacant, occupied, and departure cleaning service in guest living space, bedroom and bathroom areasDelivering guest request itemsSetting vacant rooms to uniform arrangement, as determined by the resorts proceduresSetting arrival guestrooms to individual guest preferences as directedChanging linens; making beds; filling and delivering room water service; organizing resort printed collateral and other guest amenities; straightening furniture and guest items, including clothing and toiletriesMay include cleaning of kitchen area, room refrigerator, coffee maker, cups, glassware, silverware, etcCleaning and straightening of guest corridors and common areasDusting and vacuuming of rooms and corridors; emptying trash in rooms and corridors, and cleaning of waste receptaclesReporting all lost and found items to security or supervisors, with proper logging of when and where the item was foundReferencing and maintaining digital shift logs of all rooms serviced; Reporting any unusual circumstances to supervisors, such as no luggage in stay-over, no service needed, sleep-outs, guests smoking in rooms, etcReporting any faulty equipment, supply needs, maintenance needs, safety hazards and other concerns immediately to your supervisor.Being courteous and helpful to resort guests, including reporting any guest requests or preferences to supervisorCompleting assigned tasks as outlined by supervisors, and in a timely mannerOrganizing and cleaning of workstation and cart; replenishing supplies and equipment as needed before, during, and at the end of the shiftPracticing safety standards at all times, and successfully complete all training or certification processes needed for the positionEnsuring the confidentiality and security of all guestsPerform all job duties in a safe manner and abide by all safety policies and proceduresAdhere to all company and departmental guidelinesPerform other tasks as requested by supervisorDemonstrate warmth and sincerity in all interactionsMaintain a professional and welcoming demeanor in both verbal and nonverbal communicationTake ownership of all guest requests and be proactive in ensuring resolution as neededMaintain impeccable grooming and personal hygiene at all times and wear uniform as directedUphold Sensei values in daily practicesSuccessfully complete all training and certifications needed for the positionEnsure the confidentiality and security of all guestsReport all faulty equipment, supply needs, maintenance needs, safety hazards, injuries, and other concerns immediately to your supervisorLeadership – Maintain a positive, upbeat role, promote and exemplify Company values and represents departmental objectives and interests to internal and external customersCustomer Service – Follow up on complaints, questions, and concerns; respond to internal/external customer needs in a friendly, timely and efficient mannerTeamwork - Develop and promote teamwork and cooperation among co-workersSafety – Comply with established safe work practices and attend to all safety-related training provided or made available by the Company.Other duties as assignedRequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
