Established in 1989, Terlin has become a leader and innovator in full-service construction for retail, commercial, and institutional clients. The Millwork Division is a skilled and dedicated group of craftsmen, designers, and project managers. Terlin is seeking a full-time, experienced, and detail-driven Millwork Estimator to join their Millwork Division. Responsibilities Project Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates for millwork projects by analyzing blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Quantity Take-offs: Conduct accurate quantity take-offs from architectural documents, ensuring consistency across original drawings, addendums, and quotes. Bid Preparation: Develop and submit final bid proposals, overseeing the tender document submission process. Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, architects, and subcontractors to establish unit costs, labour rates, and productivity considerations. Cost Negotiation: Negotiate favorable pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to optimize project budgets. Problem-Solving: Identify and propose alternative configurations and construction details to address project challenges. Additional Duties: Perform tasks as directed to support team success. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years in millwork estimating or a related field. Proficiency in reading architectural blueprints and using estimating software; experience with AutoCAD is advantageous. Strong logical and analytical problem-solving skills with excellent time management. Ability to prioritize tasks, think creatively, and adapt to new concepts and challenges. Capacity to perform effectively under tight deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Valid driver's license is required. A valid Secret security clearance (or ability to successfully obtain one) is required.
