Job Description

This position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in an emergency department setting with additional screening for review based on travel experience. EPIC charting experience is mandatory. Candidates must hold current AHA certifications: ACLS and BLS.

The ability to manage patient care with efficiency and accuracy is essential. The emergency department operates as a Level 2 Trauma Center and handles a variety of cases, including but not limited to abdominal pain, acute psychosis, gunshot wounds, and traumatic brain injuries.

Qualifications

• 5 years of charge experience preferred
• Patient ratio experience: 4 patients per nurse
• Must have experience with EPIC charting
• Travel experience is required
• Active Washington (WA) nursing license required at the time of submission
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC

Unit Information

The emergency department serves a diverse patient population including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics, with a daily average of 170 visits. There are 40 rooms available in the department with interdisciplinary support from various services.

Additional Information

Travelers may be required to float within the hospital based on patient care needs. Orientation includes required modules that must be completed and signed off by facility managers, with an average completion time of 8-12 hours.
