Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) – Home Health

Ownings Mill, MD

Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide high-quality therapy services to patients in their homes. This role focuses on helping patients improve mobility, function, independence, and overall quality of life.

Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN opportunities available.

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Implement individualized treatment plans and home exercise programs.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes in condition to the Physical Therapist and care team.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, safety, and fall prevention.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nurses, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to support optimal patient outcomes.
• Identify safety concerns within the home environment and recommend appropriate interventions.
• Participate in care coordination and interdisciplinary team meetings as needed.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and professional standards.

Qualifications

Required

• Current Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in the state of practice.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Preferred

• One year of clinical experience as a PTA.
• Home health experience.
• Experience working with adult and geriatric populations.
• Bilingual abilities.

Physical Requirements
