Description: The Neuro ICU position requires a dedicated registered nurse. This role involves caring for patients with critical neurological conditions. The patient population includes individuals with ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, subarachnoid hemorrhages, seizures, and neuromuscular diseases. Experience with post-operative neurosurgery patients is essential. The registered nurse will perform bedside procedures such as tracheostomy and arterial line placement. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in managing ventilated patients and invasive neuromonitoring. Floating to other units of equivalent or lower acuity is required. A commitment to patient-centered care is essential in this high-acuity environment. The ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team is critical. Applicants must be able to manage a patient ratio of 2:1. Weekend shifts will be considered for Friday and Saturday nights. Candidates will need to provide two professional references, including one from a manager or supervisor. All candidates must be responsive during the credentialing process.
