Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for ICU patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
• Assess patient status and participate in developing, implementing, and revising individualized care plans; monitor progress and adjust as needed.
• Administer medications and therapies, monitor responses, and manage ICU equipment and lines within scope and unit protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other disciplines; communicate with patients’ families and document care thoroughly.
• Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; provide guidance and supervision to support staff and ensure quality of care.
• Participate in rounds and care conferences; uphold patient safety, infection control, and quality initiatives in a fast-paced ICU environment.

Requirements

• Active California RN license.
• ICU nursing experience required; minimum 1 year preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• Ability to work day shift (12-hour shifts) in a hospital setting.
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills; ability to function independently when appropriate.
• Eligible for travel assignment and able to commit to a 13-week assignment.
