Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist

Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Nebraska Methodist Health System.

Additional Details:

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Required Credentials: CRT accepted; RRT highly preferred.

Unit Details: Mainly adult patients with some pediatric ER patients. Covers inpatient, outpatient, ER, rehab, and sleep lab areas. Experience with CRRT, IABP, CABG/AVR/MVR, TAVR, and lung surgical patients. Draws ABGs and occasionally performs EKGs. Assists with intubations rather than independently intubating. Uses Drager, LTV, I-vent, V-60, and Vapotherm equipment. Hospitalist and intensivist coverage available 24/7. Uses PAPR, CAPR, and N95.

Shift & Scheduling: Self-scheduling. Every 3rd weekend. Holidays rotate with permanent staff. Call not typically required; 30-minute response time if called.

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 reference required from within the last 3 years

Proof of identification required

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)
