Step into a rewarding opportunity serving K-12 students as an Occupational Therapist in a vibrant educational environment near Waltham, MA. This full-time contract position is perfect for someone passionate about empowering children and adolescents to reach their fullest potential, with a particular focus on supporting those with autism and diverse learning needs. The assignment is set to begin at the end of January or early February, allowing you to make a meaningful impact as students transition into the new year.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and active OT license and OT certification
- Prior experience working in school settings strongly preferred
- Experience supporting students with autism highly valued
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and other specialists
- Strong communication, organization, and adaptability skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students across the K-12 spectrum, both individually and in group settings
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans tailored to each student’s unique needs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Document evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory and district requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development for students
- Provide strategies and training to staff and caregivers for consistency across environments
