Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgical procedures in a fast-paced PACU environment. Ensure patient safety, stability, and comfort through skilled monitoring and intervention.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patients' vital signs and recovery status continuously.
• Administer medications and interventions as prescribed to promote recovery.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to facilitate safe transfer of patients from anesthesia.
• Document patient progress and care activities accurately in the EMR system.
• Respond promptly to any patient emergencies or complications.
• Adhere strictly to unit policies, safety protocols, and sterile procedures.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with a minimum of 2 years PACU experience.
• Demonstrate competency in ICU-level patient care.
• Possess current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Preferably have additional certifications such as CPAN or TCAR.
• Exhibit proactive, team-oriented personality with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work scheduled shifts (Sunday-Thursday, 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM) and handle on-call requirements as needed.
