Customer Service Representative

The Customer Service Rep will be the first point of contact for new and existing customers insurance questions and will deliver a quality customer service experience that builds rapport and long-term relationships to encourage renewal/repeat business. This position requires the associate to gain knowledge and stay current of all procedures, products and programs to ensure department standards and guidelines are met. Regular, on-time attendance is an essential function of this role.

Responsibilities include:

• Work diligently to find resolution to customer concerns and escalate to appropriate level when necessary.
• Convey information efficiently, effectively, and appropriately to meet the needs of the customer.
• Strive for first call resolution to provide "best in class" service.
• CSRs are required to stay current and knowledgeable of all procedures to ensure department standards and guidelines are met, which include Schedule Adherence, Quality Assurance, First Contact Resolution, Average Talk Time, Average Handle Time, Average Speed of Answer.
• Call types range from but are not limited to answering first notice of loss claims calls, taking payments, reinstatements, billing questions, online reset passwords etc.

Qualifications/Skill sets:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Dedicated to providing positive customer experience.
• Communicate clearly and professionally over the phone.
• Strong technical background/ability to multi-task in several systems at once
• Willingness to learn new material and systems/applications.
• Accountable and reliable
• Bilingual preferred but not required.

Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent; some college is a plus!

· Property/Casualty Insurance License preferred but not required

· 2 or more years of insurance sales/service experience preferred

· Demonstrated job stability and attendance records

· Remote working experience a plus

· Solid computer, grammar, and multi-tasking skills

Compensation: Starting pay ranges from $20.00hour - $23.00/hour based on the candidate's experience and education. Office Hours: M-F 7a – 7p CST.

*In addition to regular hourly pay, there is an annual Performance Bonus Potential.

Markel office locations. Markel locations are Pewaukee, WI., Omaha, NE., Glen Allen VA., Henderson NV. If located near Markel office location, Hybrid work schedule is required.

The salary range for this position is $16.36 - $34.05. The posted salary range reflects the lowest and highest base salary applicable to this role across our U.S. locations. Individual offers are determined based on geographic location, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and other job-related factors. As a result, the salary offered for a specific location will fall within a narrower range than the overall range displayed in this posting. This position may also be eligible to participate in the Company's annual incentive plan.
